Manna In The Wilderness

Eternity

This is the place,

as I stand on its ground,

while the rain drops polish them,

I know where I belong.

                                                  Here,

                                                  I shall not be fooled,

                                                  no more mirages,

                                                  nor illusions will appear.

For in this place,

the winds honour me,

and the grass comforts my feet.

                                                   Ahh…

                                                   Refreshed……renewed,

                                                   here, I shall not be drained,

                                                   for I acknowledge the place I truly belong,

                                                   and thus, the place acknowledge me.

How I long to be there,

because it is there, my heart should be,

how long more…

how much more……?

                                                   Take me, oh mighty winds above,

                                                   Let me fly with freedom,

                                                   away from here……this wretched world!

There shall be no fear,

no regret,

for my job here is done,

and I await the hour,

the hour should my feet touch the soil of freedom,

                                and it is there I shall live in eternity.
